Junior Racing Program

The Club is committed to introducing new sailors to the sport and supporting their development. The junior’s program is for 8 to 18-year-olds, from novices to experienced racers, with the provision of qualified instructors. MYC’s commitment to making sailing accessible to all has resulted in our unique “Club owned fleet”. Our fleet of training Optimists, Flying Elevens and O’pen Skiff Sports boats is available to junior members, providing a very cost-effective entry point to the sport.

The program is provided in partnership with Manly Sailing who are a commercial sailing school. They offer Level 1 and 2 courses and students who have completed Level 2 can join the MYC Level 3 and 4 which teaches students racing skills .

The cost of providing the racing and adventure fleet programs is low because we rely on every parent volunteering their time and skills.
